AI
A point of view from someone who loves the planet.
This is a short blog about my experiences with AI based on my recent entries in my "eco-stories" If you are following them, that would be great! If not, check it out.
Since a young age, I have been fascinated with stories. I love cinema and, recently (possibly 10 years ago), also books.
However, I was not a fan of spending hours reading. I couldn't understand it until I found great books. My husband is a reader, and we have many books in our home, even in our bedroom and on the walls. My home is not massive, but you see books first when you enter.
Honestly, I prefer to be out in the wild and enjoy nature rather than be stuck inside reading. My husband, Guy, started putting some great novels on my bedside table, and it all started there. Most of the books were from Russian and French writers, in correlation with TV programs that I enjoyed then, and not long after that, I was hooked.
The story always needs to be worth my time. I was a slow reader, but after reading "War and Peace", I think the sky is the limit.
Most things that we do or design come from everyday life, and in my case and among other phobias, I would say that I dislike flying; the only way that I manage to stop being breathless with horror by every movement that planes do is by concentrating on something else and that for me is writing. I have two stories that came to life from life experiences, like my disgust for rats, the other one, and my next one is about social media. But with writing comes research, and I am shocked by rats' intelligence and their similarity to humans.
AI is handy when I try to put my ideas into an image. It is imperfect and needs the human brain to tweak some ideas and images; nevertheless, this invention could help creative people air their thoughts, especially in this media-driven society.
In most subjects, a group of people always reminisce about "the good old days. " Unfortunately, the earth keeps moving, and we cannot get stuck in the past. However, the tools we create, like AI, must be able to help us and not destroy us.
